First one... sobering as it is--was the space shuttle this morning. I didn't find out about it until about 1 this afternoon, but it was no less a shock to see it occur, read about it and go ... "What?" Not so many of my friends remember the Challenger in '86--I wasn't very old myself, but I still remember it, and this evokes that memory strongly. It's a tragedy and one that we must not dwell on, but hold them in our hearts and in our prayers. For those that lost their loves ones, and to pray for the souls that were lost.

On a more cheerful note--I may actually get into college this summer. I hope. I have to ask a few more questions and wait a little while longer, but ... *shrugs* It's there--somewhat and I'm waiting, not giving up hope. I may have to beg my G-ma for money for living space when fall comes around--(which will make some bills a heck of a lot easier) so here's hoping.

My friend also drew my characters for my story. Not all of them, but some of the main ones--*g* and she's already working on another. I'm having fun with this particular story, and while there are gaps in it right now, I managed to almost nail the 'prolouge' sort of -- so we'll see what goes from there. Fun.. entertaining... have to do something with the many free hours I'm given.

I remember the Challenger in '86 because it was on my birthday. My teacher had just finished our music time, with the class singing "Happy Birthday" to me when another teacher came in and told us.
