Well, suppose I should give a slight update on matters...

It's Sunday here (albeit early morning, wrrry am I awake) and that means only today, tomorrow and Tuesday are left for me here in Japan. GUH. It hasn't quite sunk in yet, even with my replacement here. XD

I have almost everything packed up, suitcases are a bit... heavy-ish? XD (I can't judge weight at all) and the only things left to pack away really are one more load of clothes and my laptop. It's weird to see so much just...stuffed into corners of my suitcase.

My replacement is really nice--her name is Kerry and she's from Jamaica. Showed her a bit of the city yesterday. I'm not sure how well prepared I am to go back to America; things have changed on all ends in just a year. Getting a job is pretty much a top priority.

I'm going to be sad to leave my life in Japan, but we'll see what the next path brings.

I was in Japan for only two weeks and away from America for six weeks, but came back discombobulated anyways. That said, you'll at least readjust even if that little longing for Japan never quite leaves completely. Best wishes, though!
