I hate Comcast, my internet provider, SO much right now. My net went down on Sunday afternoon, I called and tried to figure out what was wrong, the earliest they said they could get anyone out was Friday. Being a little adverse to the suggestion, I went down to the local office to see what I could do.

I managed to get it scheduled for today, the 7th--they said they'd put it so that it was before 10am, as I had class and work and all sorts of other important stuff. 10:00 rolls around, no Comcast. So I call up to see what the problem was, and it turns out they scheduled it for the 10th.

....

SATURDAY.

...

So I took more time out of my schedule (I don't have a car, so I have to take the bus) and went down to the office to find out what went wrong. It turns out that it apparently didn't go through, a tech called in sick today, and I lost my appointment for today. There was apparently nothing they could do.

So I managed to get one for tomorrow, between 1:30 and 2:30, because I have work in the morning and class and then an appointment with my professor at 3:00. I don't have a great deal of time but I'm getting so pissed off at this being down still and all this rescheduling stuff and ... RAWR.


I didn't sleep last night, so I'm probably more irritated than I should be, but good god, I have stuff I submit online for work and school and it's my internet and I pay for it and to have it down is the biggest pain in the ass ever.

That's so frustrating! People need the internet to do so much stuff, and companies can't even manage to fix it >_>; Good luck getting it fixed soon?

Yeah.... I hope it gets fixed soon. :( It's not like I'm doing anything super important at work anyways, but I just can't concentrate. :(

Oh no, you're not being too irritable, I completely understand your pain. I have to get COMCAST cable for my tv here at college and it sucks ass. First of all, they told me I would get all the channels I wanted, but when I finally got the service, I didn't have Cartoon Network at all...and I still don't...a year later. Second, they never come when they tell me they will and the appointment times they set up are always during one of my classes...so they make me wait around for nothing all the time. Third, the cable guys are either really sleazy or creepy or people who look like they belong in a gang, and it's scary to let them into my suite when I'm the only one there.

I hate that company. That's why I'm glad that at home, my parents have satellite and TIVO which is so much easier to fix if something goes wrong and is usually done over the phone.

i'd definately complain to the higher ups about that. You shouldn't have to wait like that. And they didn't even call you to tell you that your appointment had to be rescheduled? That's utter bullshit. I'd be upset too.
I'd either write a very angry letter or call someone and bitch them out.
