What is it about holidays that make you think about your family and friends? Especially when you're far away from them and know that you won't see them for awhile? Maybe it's the fact that all my roommates are gone for the weekend. Ashley might be back tomorrow, I'm not sure. I think she's coming back Sunday, though. Anita might be back tomorrow... but I don't know when her plane comes in. *sighs* It's so quiet without anyone but me here. I'm just waiting for some friends of mine to come by--then I can melt my brain with anime instead of books.

Not that books are a bad thing--or the paper I actually worked on a little bit today. I'm going to try and change my focus a little on my paper--broaden it a bit. Instead of one specific genre of manga, Im going to focus on manga sales in the U.S. and how it's feeding the mass consumerism of the culture industry. I hope that I do good on this paper--considering that it'll be 50% of my grade. I also realize that I think I have to write a paper on my internship this semester as well so that I can get the credits. >_<

I'm loving this five day break--but I am also looking foward to the end of the semester. It'll mean more quiet and empty time in the apartment, but it'll also be a long rest--barring work, but that's a given. I do want to have money. It's a good thing. Pays my bills and such.

I've also been writing little bits of fanfiction lately. Just little spurts of ideas that aren't getting anywhere. My inspiration has pretty much been dry lately--who wants to write something when you've been writing papers all semester? Now I understand why Julia said she never had the desire to write. It gets to you...*laughs* I still love to write, though. I just wish I had more time (and still go to school and work!) to develop my ideas. Christmas break...not too far away! Ahh! It's coming up there, soo close. How time flies. This semester was carried on wings.

Turkey Day was a blast...I went to my roommmates house and spent the day there. Helped make some food, enjoyed the food that was on the table--her family and friends were great, too. It was better than spending the day alone.
