As I was talking with Ely_chanshe showed me something that we had devised together *years* ago. I'm not even sure how old this is, but we had a ton of fun writing this... and realize how true it still is.

¬_¬

I *was* going to put up the top ten worst fanfic summaries of the moment--but I'll do that another time. Suggest a series to me, and I'll hunt down horrible fanfic summaries.

^_^ Until then, I present to you...

'How to Gain Self Esteem for Fanfic Writers'

1. Admitting that you have a problem with your self-esteem
regarding fanfics is just the first step...

2. You realize that total strangers are the key to your
inspiration (not to mention your whole force to keep writing).

3. Believe it or not, there are some people out there who
worship the very words you write.

4. Friends are good cheerleading muses, but don't you wish
you were the muse instead of the writer?

5. Watch more anime than you ever thought humanly possible.
Doing this will not only give you research, but also make you
realize that anime characters have it worse off than you do.

6. You realize that in watching the anime so many times, you
can change the plot to suit YOUR needs.

7. After discovering that a story you wrote was indeed an
actual episode and not just a figment of your own imagination,
you try to cut back on the anime and write fics from real life
experiences. When that fails miserably, you return to the anime.

8. You finally resort to scanning every fanfic on the net....
trying to draw inspiration from your favorite authors...who
actually were inspired by you!! ^^;;

9. When you find your favorite fanfics, you go through through
a meticulous search to find the author's emails, their AIM screen
name, ICQ number and may even go as far to track down their
phone numbers. Anything to talk to the great minds of fanfictions.

10. and then you realize...who needs to write? Just kick back
and relax, and continue your secret life as a private investigator.

Oh, and just more note: If you get that urge to write, follow
through with it. Who knows, you may be the next author that
everyone raves about. ^^ (Because deep down inside, you
know you're good at what you do.)
