Nov. 10th, 2003 07:27 amI forgot how much a video game sucks you in. ^_^ I hadn't played one in such a long time, but it was fun. I'm now on Disk 2 of FF9, so hey... not doing too badly for never playing the game before. Cute storyline--and yes, the evil guy is very nice looking. Freaking animated characters. Not fair. :P I'm also reading a new book...
*hears mutters of a 'when are you not?*
And it's by the same author that is writing another series that I fell in love with. :P Same world, I found out. Just about... oh, five hundered years in the future? This series was written first, so the books *I* read first are a sort of prequel. ^_^ Interesting.. I'm gleaning these books for hints. ^^;; I'm totally helpless, but at least it helps define facts when I try and write the third book in my head.
Was that confusing? Probably... It's 7:30 in the morning. :)
So yeah.. life isn't all the exciting, books are good and video games can eat your life away. That's my lesson. Go back to bed.

Date: 2003-11-10 02:53 pm (UTC)The Nightrunner Series (the one I'm reading now) and
The Tamir Triad.. ^_^ I'm absolutely dying for the third book in the Triad... but it won't be out until sometime in 2004. Bleh! So yes, I try and write the story in my head. ^_^
Great author, you should read.

Date: 2003-11-10 08:39 pm (UTC)I haven't had a chance to read the 2nd book in the Tamir triad yet, but I've re-read the Nightrunner Series quite a few times.
(At this point, I fought the urge to type "we should discuss!", because that makes me feel even more like a pedantic teacher than I am.) ;)

Date: 2003-11-12 01:43 am (UTC)Have you been to Lynn's web site? http://www.sff.net/people/Lynn.Flewelling/
I think she is one of the most open authors out there -- though that may be changing now that she is becoming more well known. She even posts fan art on her page!
Have you gotten to the Street of Lights yet? For some reason that is my favorite chapter. I've re-read it more often than most.... ^.^

Date: 2003-11-17 11:38 pm (UTC)Did she really?! I know she's been hinting that she could write more in the future after the Tamir storyline was wrapped up, but... Oh! I guess I should get on that ML. Is it high-traffic?
Random thought of the day: You know, I was glancing at someone's Johnny Depp PotC icon and suddenly had the frightening idea that Depp would make a good Seregil. >.>
