I forgot how much a video game sucks you in. ^_^ I hadn't played one in such a long time, but it was fun. I'm now on Disk 2 of FF9, so hey... not doing too badly for never playing the game before. Cute storyline--and yes, the evil guy is very nice looking. Freaking animated characters. Not fair. :P I'm also reading a new book...

*hears mutters of a 'when are you not?*

And it's by the same author that is writing another series that I fell in love with. :P Same world, I found out. Just about... oh, five hundered years in the future? This series was written first, so the books *I* read first are a sort of prequel. ^_^ Interesting.. I'm gleaning these books for hints. ^^;; I'm totally helpless, but at least it helps define facts when I try and write the third book in my head.

Was that confusing? Probably... It's 7:30 in the morning. :)

So yeah.. life isn't all the exciting, books are good and video games can eat your life away. That's my lesson. Go back to bed.

Ohh... who's the author? About a half-dozen ideas floated into my head and now I can't rest until I know. :)

*grins* Her name is Lynn Flewelling, and the books in question are

The Nightrunner Series (the one I'm reading now) and

The Tamir Triad.. ^_^ I'm absolutely dying for the third book in the Triad... but it won't be out until sometime in 2004. Bleh! So yes, I try and write the story in my head. ^_^

Great author, you should read.

Ah-HAH, I was right! Yay, another Flewelling fan!

I haven't had a chance to read the 2nd book in the Tamir triad yet, but I've re-read the Nightrunner Series quite a few times.

(At this point, I fought the urge to type "we should discuss!", because that makes me feel even more like a pedantic teacher than I am.) ;)

*dies laughing* Yes! A fan! Isn't it great? I'm gleaning the pieces out of the Nightrunner series to pull all the information I need for Tamir, but that's not *too* helpful. And yes, you should read the 2nd book-- ^_^ Poor Tobin... the thoughts that go through that poor boy/girl's mind.. ^^;; I'm already pegging Ki and Tob as a couple... ^^ *innocent look* But we should discuss--even if it does make you sound like a teacher. It's hard to find someone that's read the same books as I do-- And I'm loving the Nightrunner series.. Segriel (sp?) and Alec--fantastic. *rambles on for a few moments*

Oh yes, Seregil is my boy. Suave, dark-humored at times, the angsty past.... the perfect fanfiction characterization brought to life. How far have you read? I don't want to say anything spoiler-ish.

Have you been to Lynn's web site? http://www.sff.net/people/Lynn.Flewelling/
I think she is one of the most open authors out there -- though that may be changing now that she is becoming more well known. She even posts fan art on her page!

Have you gotten to the Street of Lights yet? For some reason that is my favorite chapter. I've re-read it more often than most.... ^.^

*dies laughing* Yes, I have! Poor Alec... trying to come to terms with his undeniably cute teacher... getting over his thoughts of how pairings are supposed to be... *rolls eyes* Although goodness knows I've come a long way with that. ^^;; And I'm about halfway finished with the third book in the Nightrunner series, and so I know *what* Alec is, even if there is supposed to be more to it? *tilts head* And my mind is going a miles a minute, writing fanfiction in my head. *innocent grin* I can't help it! There is just so much to work with and Alec and Seregil are such great characters. And are you on Lynn's ML? She annouced that there will be a 4th Nightrunner book soon. Half the people jumped on that, and then there were others that said "You have to finish the Tamir Triad first" ^_^

Did she really?! I know she's been hinting that she could write more in the future after the Tamir storyline was wrapped up, but... Oh! I guess I should get on that ML. Is it high-traffic?

Random thought of the day: You know, I was glancing at someone's Johnny Depp PotC icon and suddenly had the frightening idea that Depp would make a good Seregil. >.>

Sort of... depends on when they get into debates about off topic things or not. *snicker* There are a few people that have started talking about anime storylines and timetravel... *rubs head* weird stuff... I didnt expect it. and... Johnny Depp as Seregil... *ponders* Hrm...
