There was nothing around her. No sound, no objects--she couldn't even see herself. Not even if she tried to shout could she make a sound. Kamuri was beginning to think she was trapped in some weird type of void.

"So impatient." She whirled around at the sound of the voice, but there wasn't anyone there. She wondered vaguely if she had even turned around, the darkness was that complete. "You have all of eternity to wait, yet you are getting all worked up over a couple of minutes in silence." The voice sounded irritated as it came closer to her. She didn't even see anything yet, though--not even herself.

"That's because you simply *are* now, not as you were before. "You will be reformed eventually, but until then you won't have the mortal body you seem so attached to."

Kamuri opened her mouth to reply, but there wasn't anything to retort. She was rather attached to her body. She had lived in it for twenty some years. It was rather a disapointment to suddenly discover that she no longer had it.

"The newly dead get so attached to earthly matters--it doesn't really matter anymore. You--to state the obvious--are dead. Your life ended when the bus crashed today. You will be in the employment of--"

He was aburptly cut off when Kamuru voiced her opinion on that. Now that she had a voice, she was certainly going to have some comment. "Hey, hold on a minute! You just said that I died. Why the hell am I going to be handed a job?! Isn't being dead about eternal rest? Peace?" She demanded.

"Not all the time. You, Asagi Kamuri are destined for something else." There was still no person, but the irritation was almost visible. "Before you so rudely interrupted, I am to deliver you to your employer." There was a distinct pause. "Thank gods I don't have to deal with you anymore."

"Well, excuse me." She muttered. "I expected to be resting on a cloud somewhere by now, not being lectured by thin air about some dury that I'm supposed to perform after death." She looked annoyed at the thought. *Not that I'd really enjoy spending eternity on a cloud, but it's the principle of the matter.*

There was a sigh of exasperation, and she swore if the thing that she was talking to had eyes, it'd be rolling them. "Some people can have that life, but some people are going to do others duties after their life has ended. You should be grateful. What you're going into is an honored position." It was clear from the tone of voice that this person didn't think she was deserving of the honor.

"Ooh, great news for me." She muttered. "I don't even know what this job is, or who I'm working for." She waited for another smart reply, but the silence was returning again. She stomped her foot on the ground, growing more irritated by the minute when there was no sound. *Great.* She thought. *I'm trapped in a void without sound or images... what a fantastic afterlife.*

"Not quite a void, little bird of mine."

And that can be the blurb for now... hehe... comments?
