...well, I'll try at least. XD
1. I love to write. Seriously-- it's one of the most soothing things for me, to get out the ideas all crammed inside my head.
2. I'm short. XD Less than an inch under five feet and it throws people off sometimes when they first meet me.
3. I like stuffed animals-- soft, plushy ones of all kinds. I think if I get too many more, my bed will be overtaken by them. *laughs*
4. My favorite animals are foxes, crows and lynxes.
5. I don't get angry very easily, but little things will set me off and I'll be peeved for quite some time. It takes a while for the anger to go away after it starts.
6. I spent a year as a teacher in Japan and while the teaching wasn't the easiest thing in the world, I loved my students, the teachers and the neighborhood. The people at the stores and just random people around. I would go back if I could afford it and stay there as long as possible.
7. I tend to make friends with people that are either older than me, or a lot younger. I think it's because a lot of kids my own age were rather mean to me and hanging out with my sister's crowd, there wasn't that petty childish behavior. Younger kids were ones I tended to babysit and they saw me as someone older and tosomewhat respect.
8. I was never very popular--growing up, I read a lot to avoid people, because it was easier than dealing with it. When provoked, I got violent. ^^;;
9. My dad, for years, raised me like a boy. He forbid my sister and me to wear makeup and all that until we were sixteen (not that my sister listened) and I simply didn't care. When I was around twelve or thirteen, he realized his mistake and tried to tell me that some of the stuff I did wasn't very ladylike. XD
10. I like to sing-- but I tend not to do so around other people, unless I trust them.
11. When I was thirteen, I had major back surgery to put a metal rod in my back. Afterward, I had to wear a back brace (that was removable) and during the morning, I'd take it off, shove it in my locker and then put it back on at the end of the day.
12. I'm scared of hugs. If someone tries to touch me, I tense up.
13. I've moved a lot growing up-- ever since I was two, I've been moving from place to place. North Carolina was the one place I had stayed in more than three years.
14. I love books-- I'll usually spend more money on books than on food.
15. I get confused when people say they like me, or that I'm pretty or interesting. My response is usually a 'are you sure?'
16. I like playing video games, even though I'm not very good and I probably take longer than one should at them. XD It's relaxing in a way to whack at enemies after a long day or week.
17. My favorite colors are blue and green.
18. I adore old-fashioned stuff. Not just the retro, but going back centuries.
19. Going on that, I'm a giant history nerd, even though English/Tech Writing was my major in college. I had a professor that tried to convince me to switch when I was in my junior year.
20. One of my friends taught me how to staff-fight.
21. One of these days, I want to visit Ireland. Just to wander around and see it and explore. The feeling isn't as strong as it was when I was younger, but it's still one of the countries I want to visit.
22. I felt more at home in Japan than I had anywhere else.
23. I want someone to take care of me at times, even though I want to be strong and stand on my own. I don't like people seeing me as weak.
24. I can be very passionate about things I believe in. It's very difficult for me to understand racism and why people can act the way they do to certain types of people.
25. Even though I was raised more like a boy, I tend to like long, flowing skirts. I hate stuff that's too tight or revealing. I'm self-conscious about my appearance and it's only been very recently that I've started wearing stuff that's more flattering.
