The Laramie Project
Oct. 7th, 2004 06:16 amWhat can I say about this, other than it was stunning? Absolutely fantastic. Emotionally, it was just a moving experience. It was so blunt and honest and there was so much in there that's hard to describe adequtely. The way the actors portrayed people, what the people of Laramie had said themselves. It was all so very real.
I remember hearing about Matthew Sheppard. I was in class when it showed on the news, and I was in a class full of all boys. Some of the comments made me so angry. It was amazing to hear the 'rest' of the story, where people were saying what they felt, how they dealt with it. The after effects, the during, the before times. I went with my roommate, and she enjoyed it as much as I did. It had me crying at one point, tearing up at others. I just loved it, how they portrayed everything.
It is something that I would enjoy seeing again, and reccomend others to see as well.
