Just a quick note into my world...

I'm switching to dayshift at work, for all those who are interested. That means I get up at an unholy hour of the morning so I can be at the bus stop by 6:15, so I can be at work by 7am. *grimaces* I did this before, when I worked at QuikPayday. Why am I doing this again? Because its more hours. Because it's promised hours, and where I won't have to leave at a certain time so I can catch a bus. I'm sure I could have more hours in the evening shift if the buses ran later. But since they don't--my best option is to do dayshift (which I probably would have done before if there had been any positions open). So now I'll be working from 7am to 2:30 pm, for all those who are interested. At least I'll be easier to reach--most likely. There will probably be a few days that I'll work some afternoon shift as well. Anything to increase my paycheck, really. *grins* Things are expensive, and I want to have them paid off that much sooner so I don't have to worry so much. Bleh. I don't think my other job that I interviewed for will come through, but if Borders ever does call, I'd drop Discovery in a heart beat and go work in my version of heaven. ^.~ Books, glorious books... ^___^

Not much else is going on in my world. The other weekend was my 'playtime', and it was a blast. ^^ I went down to Ogden with a few friends, which ended up with us at Olive Garden, and possibly making the staff scared to ever let us in again--to Media Play--*grins* I'm not sure how long we stayed in there, but it was a lot of fun, and I got my next Fruits Basket manga. *huggles her manga* Yes, it's in English. No, Laz can't read Japanese well enough to go through the orignal manga. Unlike some people. ^.~ j/k. Then we went to Warren's for milkshakes. In between all this we were making jokes, contributing to papers--and just relaxing. It was a lot of fun, and frankly, I think I needed it. Granted, I'm not studying for finals or taking tests. But after working at my job--calling people is stressful in it's own way, getting rejected and cursed at and various other impolite practices tends to put a strain on you. I don't like calling people for surveys, or anything related to it. I think that dayshift will actually be a lot easier on me, because the projects that we do seem better. At least of of them is shorter. ^.^ I can deal with shorter.

So I'll try to work extra hours, but I don't know about working 12 hour days at the same place. I'm still looking for a secondary job, so maybe something of that nature will come through. I'm still waiting, and hoping.

And the summer semester stuff is almost here. It doesn't mean a great deal to me, but my roommates are moving out--which is rather sad. I made good friends with them, and I'm going to miss them when they leave. One of them is going on a mission to Korea. She'll be *very* far away, and I think Anna is the one that I got along best with. *shrugs* Not that I held favorites... *laughs* And on a completely random note, Anna and I found out that we had the same Japanese class when I lived here before. Japanese 1010--*grins* So very funny. ^^

Well, enough for now, and maybe I'll have more to say later.
