Yesterday was a pretty interesting day...
Nothing exciting happened, just a little bbq with some friends, and then Mandy (my roommate) decided that it would be a good idea to go hiking up to the Wind Caves. I decided to come along.
^^
I have never been actual hiking up a mountain. And not one that had such steep trails that leads up to the Wind Caves. It was a long walk, but it was pretty... the view was absolutely stunning at some points, and we're going up again Tuesday--this time I'm bringing my camera. It took awhile to get up to the top--we briefly rested inside a few of the Wind Caves, and then started back down again. All was uneventful until Mandy slipped. *grins* Loose rocks, dust--I knew that it wasn't going to be long before I slipped as well.
Yes--I did slip. Skidded right in a loose patch of dirt, scraped my knee--we cleaned it off with water, which made one shoe very slippery. Not to mention the fine layer of dust that was coating one leg. It was starting to get muddy. *looks at shoe* My poor shoe...
At any rate--with all that water and loose rocks and dirt--yes, I slipped again. It was almost a moment worthy of Hazard. *grins* Only I can see Hazard tumbling halfway down the mountain, and coming away unharmed.
It was alot of fun, and I do want to do it again. Beautiful view, wonderful exercise...
